This Maternal and Child Health Lab uses a blended learning approach, including videos and CDs that explain the process of pregnancy and childbirth. Full training on a pregnant woman Manikins, which demonstrates the process of normal delivery to equip the student nurse with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to provide care to the woman throughout her pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care. The lab is also equipped with a delivery simulator model and a newborn baby. Interactive infant and child simulators, it introduces the students to the competencies necessary to care for newborn, infants, and children, promoting critical thinking and clinical judgment to prepare the students for their practice in the hospital and community. The lab also serves to orient and train necessary skills at different levels.
